Eligibility: Any
individual that is a full time undergraduate student attending a
recognized college or university located within the NYS counties of
Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Niagara, and Wyoming during
the 2001/2002 academic year. In
addition, children and spouses of A&WMA-NFS members attending
undergraduate school, full time, during the 2001/2002 academic year at
any recognized college or university regardless of location are
eligible. The Scholarship
is awarded for one academic year. To
qualify for a second year, individuals must reapply.
Awards:
Typically,
one $1000 and two to four $500 scholarships are awarded each year.
The number of scholarships will be determined annually by the
A&WMA - NFS Board of Directors based on available funds.
Application: Application materials (including grade
transcripts) must be received by Friday,
March 1, 2002. Completed applications must include the
information outlined in Section I, Section II, and Section III of the
application form. In
addition, grade transcripts for the two most recent semesters must be
included. Applications must
be typed where indicated. Only
complete applications received by the March 1, 2002 deadline will
be considered.
